monitor: no signal?

ive tried the monitor hooked up to another unit and it works fine so the monitor isnt broken.

ive changed the video card to a new one and it still doesnt work.

theres no ram beeping noise, but i havent tried changing that yet.

ive tried reconnecting everything..

still no luck
does anyone know what might be wrong with my computer?

didnt do anything out of the ordinary with my comp prior to this

What appears on the monitor?

For me when I turn on my monitor it would just go automatically white. Then I would have to turn it off, then back on, then off, then on. Basically like "warming up" the monitor, before it starts working. lol

Nevermind, I read your post wrong. It could be your motherboard.

Buy a new computer or call BB geeksquad to come diagnose the problem.

Sounds like some capacitors are failing.

OP: Silly question but did you change the graphics drivers when you tried a different card?

Hmmmm, and to find that out I'd probably have to test for voltage readings for all the capacitors? Yippee, haha

I have had a similar problem before. It turned out to be a faulty ram stick. Are you using 2 ram sticks?if so, try putting one in and turn on the pc, then try the other. It doesn't make beeping noises if 1 of the 2 is not faulty.

Does your motherboard has built in vga port?you can try that.

First take a look at them, if any are bulging or leaking then you've found your perp.

ive tried the ram stick thing and it didnt work
there are no bulging or leaking weird looking resistors or capcitors...that i can see, anyways
i stared at it for a good 40 minutes lol

my motherboard doesnt have a built in vga port unfortunately...

i went to check out computer parts at ncix and asked them
they said something about thermal paste and something might be loose

ill have to look into that soon..
