2011 Honda Accord

NEW FOR 2011:

- Sedan features new grille, front bumper, rear deck lid and wheel design; coupe has new grille, front bumper, brake lights and new wheel design on V6 models; all models include new seat cloth fabric and updated instrument panel design with frequently-used climate-control buttons moved to left side
- Standard alloy wheels, eight-way power driver’s seat, Bluetooth connectivity, automatic headlamps and security system on all models
- Standard six-CD stereo and USB audio interface on all EX models and above
- Improved fuel economy on four-cylinder
- SE model replaces base LX model; leather-equipped SE trim line available
- Four-cylinder EX-L models add power passenger seat; models with navigation add two-position driver’s side memory
- EX-L V6 Coupe adds steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters
- Sedans equipped with optional navigation system add rearview camera

For 2011, the Honda Accord sedan and coupe models undergo a mild facelift, with new front-end styling, improved interiors, and new standard or optional features. The four-cylinder model gains improved fuel efficiency due to engine improvements and transmission gear ratios, up to seven per cent better in the city and 11 per cent on the highway when compared to the 2010 model. The new SE trim line replaces the previous base LX trim, adding standard eight-way power driver’s seat, alloy wheels, Bluetooth connectivity, automatic headlamps and security system; these are now found on all Accord models.

Available as a four-door sedan or two-door coupe, the Accord comes with a choice of four engines overall. A 2.4-litre four-cylinder in the base SE sedan produces 177 horsepower, while the 2.4-litre in the EX and EX-L sedan and coupe models makes 190 horsepower. Both come with a five-speed manual transmission or optional five-speed automatic. An optional 3.5-litre V6 with five-speed automatic uses Variable Cylinder Management, which shuts off either two or three cylinders under light load for improved fuel economy. The V6 coupe can also be ordered with a six-speed manual transmission, and uses variable valve timing and intake system for sportier performance, without the cylinder management.

Features on the SE sedan include 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, tire pressure monitoring system, heated mirrors, speed-sensing variable intermittent wipers, front splash guards, power locks with keyless entry, auto up/down driver’s window, cruise control, auto-off headlamps, illuminated vanity mirrors, tilt and telescopic steering wheel with audio controls, eight-way power driver’s seat, floor mats, fold-down rear seat, CD/MP3/WMA stereo with subwoofer, auxiliary input, Bluetooth connectivity, XM satellite radio, security system and automatic headlamps.

The EX sedan adds 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, premium six-CD/MP3 stereo, power sunroof, chrome exhaust finisher, auto up/down front windows, Active Noise Cancellation, ambient console lighting, and rear cupholders.

The EX-L sedan adds exterior temperature display, auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated leather seats, and power passenger seat. When further equipped with navigation, the model also includes a two-position driver’s side memory.

The EX V6 sedan is equipped similarly to the EX, but adds chrome door handles.

The EX-L V6 sedan is equipped similarly to the EX-L, but adds chrome door handles, fog lights, four-way power passenger seat, and garage door opener.

Features on the EX coupe include 17-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, active front head restraints, security system, tire pressure monitoring system, heated mirrors, front splash guards, power sunroof, speed-sensing variable intermittent wipers, rear cupholders, automatic headlamps, power locks with keyless entry, front auto up/down windows, cruise control, tilt and telescopic steering wheel with audio controls, eight-way power driver’s seat, floor mats, fold-down rear seatback, Bluetooth connectivity, XM satellite radio, and six-CD/MP3/WMA stereo with auxiliary input, and security alarm.

The EX-L coupe adds dual-zone automatic climate control, exterior temperature display, automatic headlamps, heated leather seats and leather-wrapped steering wheel.

The EX-L V6 coupe and EX-L V6 MT coupe add 18-inch alloy wheels, chrome door handles, steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, and rear spoiler.

No, not in sales force of any brand, just straight up sharing, didn't know it would bother people that much though. :)

I'd rather read the specs on an Accord than read:

- Someone try to argue that an RSX is faster than an M3.
- Anything by mqr03

Kev

Pt20 07-19-2010 05:20 PM

and i think every thread should have one or two hotties posted. just something nice to look at. can't hurt.

FerrariEnzo 07-19-2010 05:44 PM

i dont know.. doesnt look nice that accord coupe

Szeto 07-19-2010 05:52 PM

The headlight is so TL-looking, I like it and hope the brake pad wearing out too fast problem is fixed.

I wanted to grab a tl type s but used ones all had high mileage, wdp tl s w/ auto is hard to come by.
