Getting a spot on English bay on fireworks night I've only been to the annual English bay fireworks once and that was last year when I saw it near Kits beach/park. For those who take it in every year on English Bay, what time would I have to get there to get a decent spot? I probably won't make it there until 7pm, I figure with the concert at the Bathhouse my chances are slim if not at all in finding a spot. Where is a good spot to where I could see the barge and hear the music assuming I don't arrive until 7pm-ish? Thanks in advance. |
Got there at around 7:00pm last Thursday. At that time, there were still decent spots available for groups of 4 or less so don't worry too much about it. However, any more than a group of 4, or arrive any later and your luck might change. Sorry I can't give you specific heads-up locations. Pretty much any open spaces will obviously be taken like vultures on corpses. |
too bad there arent any fireworks on thursday |
Oh shit my bad. I meant Wednesday. Was there on the 21st for the U.S. fireworks. |
If you're going to one of the Saturday shows, you'll need to get there earlier. Weekend crowds are always larger. Especially with how the weathers been lately. |
Thanks for the advice. I do plan to go on Saturday so I should expect larger crowds. |
