Getting a spot on English bay on fireworks night

I've only been to the annual English bay fireworks once and that was last year when I saw it near Kits beach/park. For those who take it in every year on English Bay, what time would I have to get there to get a decent spot? I probably won't make it there until 7pm, I figure with the concert at the Bathhouse my chances are slim if not at all in finding a spot.

Where is a good spot to where I could see the barge and hear the music assuming I don't arrive until 7pm-ish?

Thanks in advance.

Got there at around 7:00pm last Thursday.

At that time, there were still decent spots available for groups of 4 or less so don't worry too much about it.

However, any more than a group of 4, or arrive any later and your luck might change.

Sorry I can't give you specific heads-up locations. Pretty much any open spaces will obviously be taken like vultures on corpses.

If you're going to one of the Saturday shows, you'll need to get there earlier. Weekend crowds are always larger. Especially with how the weathers been lately.

Thanks for the advice. I do plan to go on Saturday so I should expect larger crowds.
