integra GSR insurance

Hey guys, Im about to get a 2000 GSR as my first car. I've had my class 7N for about a year now. I was wondering how much insurance would cost a year. How much do you guys pay for insurance if you have a integra as well. Thanks

cdizzle_996 07-26-2010 05:40 AM

With 5 or 10% discount on my 98 GSR like 3 years ago I paid like $276/month with collision.

Do yourself a favour and call any insurance place.

Quotes are free, and take like 5min tops.

Then you won't have to guess.

oldsnail 08-10-2010 11:08 PM

island is really cheap..
my prelude is 460 a year for basic 2m.

delSol97 08-30-2010 07:57 PM

Damn, and here I thought I was getting hosed at $170/mth for my 996. 43% discount.

Yikes.

delSol97 08-30-2010 07:59 PM

My rule of thumb is no collision on cars under $5k.... its not worth losing my 43% over a couple of thousand and .. well I'm never at fault :)

Hakkaboy 08-31-2010 09:33 AM

i pay about $13xx/yr w/ 43% discount for my 95 GS-R

gdoh 08-31-2010 10:51 AM

That's pretty good. I'm at 43% and pay about 1100 per year on my 92 GSR with no collision, 2M liability, and pleasure use.

if your 92 GSR is in good condition, you can apply for a collector plate with ICBC. super cheap insurance!!

It is in very good condition and I have considered doing that now that I have another vehicle (you can't get collector's plates unless you have another car.) But, I would need to do some things:

- Remove the JDM headlights
- Remove my window tint
- Refinish and repaint a minor scrape on the rear bumper
- Replace my CD deck with the stock radio
- My stock rims have some scrapes and I'm not sure if they could remain on the car to have it qualify for collector's status

I remember someone on here was trying to sell his mint GSR with collector's plates. I believe that his insurance was only $300-400/year?

delSol97 08-31-2010 09:15 PM

damn 40% surcharge ... I pity you truly

nwalker 09-01-2010 07:11 AM

how old dose the car have to be to get collector plates?
i have 98 gsr with stock cd player and stock rims and all that...

anything body knows what are requirements?

tofu1413 09-01-2010 09:49 AM

98 GSR isnt a limited production car...

stockcivic 09-22-2010 10:15 AM

A car has to be at least 15-20 years old with all OEM parts, I believe
