Revscene SpottedSpotted Revscene Members all across town
Did you happen to see a Revscene member or a car with a Revscene sticker on the road or somewhere? Or happen to see a car of interest that you'd like to share with pictures? Post it up here!
So apparently Honda had their little "test day" for dealerships. I happen to be there to pick up my brother. Took some pics for you guys. As far as I can tell, (I wasn't allowed to drive them), they seem to be pretty responsive little cars. They got the VTEC to kick in on the straight, and it sounded pretty nice.
They had a share of Autos and Manuals, since I heard the testers going "i wanna take a spin in the manual after this"
I took a lap around their track in my TL after they left - not a terribly technical layout, but it had various sections of slaloms, hairpins, and even a top gear style "hammerhead" turn at the end of the slalom.
**Note: my N82's camera's metering is starting to screw up, so please bare with some of the overexposed pictures

no, they keep one of the cylinders on to keep the engine running. If you ever listen to those Hybrid buses translink has now it's kind of like that... When it's stopped, it's quiet, but not completely silent - and it dosent make that godawful electric whining sound the Toyota hybrids make

when do the toyota hybrids make that whining noise? when its up to speed or a constant noise?
just not too long ago, i was walking back to my car at an underground parking lot when a camry hybrid was following me for my parking spot. i had no idea it was behind me all along, it was so damn quiet..
Yeah the toyota doesn't whir when gas engine's not running
I've heard the CR-Z slalom speed is even slower than the CRV.
Personally much prefer the toyota Hybrid system to the honda one, test drove an insight really didn't like it compared to the prius. Oh well I'm still waiting for the Volt

its a constant reminder that you are better than everyone else because "you care about the earth" (given that you're the one driving, haha)

Used to drive/deliver multiple RX400Hs couple of years back, its really annoying esp when you consider its a ~$70k suv, not only that the kick in of the petrol engine is very jerky. They might have fixed these thou with the current gen cars/suvs.
I just spotted a Grey CR-Z with Ontario plate at 8a.m. in New West heading west.
Small Car.
Hate the Rear, everything else looks fine.
too bad it is a 2 seater in N. A.
