Also, the 460 is one of the better cards in the $200 range right now.

Gh0stRider 07-31-2010 03:32 PM

SkinnyPupp 07-31-2010 07:42 PM

GTX 460 is the way to go. Newegg.ca has a Gigabyte one that is pre-overclocked for $199

FerrariEnzo 08-02-2010 09:15 PM

Newegg.ca doenst have it for sale under $199...

FerrariEnzo 08-03-2010 01:07 AM

GTX 465 is good as well but GTX 460 has the best price/performance ratio in the market right now

FerrariEnzo 08-08-2010 03:49 PM

i dont play games a lot, so something that will tie me over for 1 year at least

768MB vs 1024MB make much diff? Worth spending $40 more?

Not a huge difference right now in most games (GTA IV being one of the few exceptions I can think of off the top of my head), but likely a larger difference a few years down the road.

terkan 08-11-2010 12:57 PM

if u were given the choice of gtx 480 sli or 5970 cf which one would u go for?

I haven't upgraded yet my video card yet. I'm still going for the GTX 460. I'm wondering if I should go for the EVGA one or the MSI one.

That question essentially boils down to: Do you want a lifetime warranty with your card? If yes, go with EVGA. If no, go with MSI.

FerrariEnzo 09-07-2010 07:57 PM

i just picked up the Ati HD5770... its an AWESOME upgrade from my nVidia 7600.. haha... now i can play Mafia 2 and Starcraft 2 on the highest setting and max resolution.. only for it for $180 after taxes.. i know i could have gotten the 460.. but its gona around $80 more.. and im not really a hardcore gamer.. i just watch videos and play a few games here and there.. so not worth it for me..

strykn 09-07-2010 07:57 PM

Thinking about selling my gtx 460 its EVGA , Got receipt + lifetime warranty, 768 mb version.... PM me if your interested.
