Physio's Are Physio's consider specialists? I'm having problems with my knee and my doctor said that I just have weak quads and I need to work them out. I'm trying to get a second opinion, so I want to go see a physio to find out whats wrong. Just need to know if I need to get a note from a doctor first. |
Nope, physiotherapists do not count as specialists requiring referrals. Search up physiotherapists in your area and google for reviews, call one you decide on and set up an appointment. If you have any extra health insurance (PCB etc..) you're likely covered for a certain amount as well. I believe first visits are around 50$? |
Ive gone to about 5-6 different phsyios trying to figure out whats wrong with me (left arm is 50% strength of right) after going to one on dunbar street, 2 on fourth, two UBC specialist one physio finally found out the source of the problem.
