Good Restaurants in Seattle I know there's a couple older threads about this already but I'm not looking for like "Fine-Dining". I'll be there for a couple days. Lunch or Dinner recommendations would be great! I don't care about a view or high-end either, just some local delicious food, and PLEASE NO CHAIN RESTAURANTS! I don't have a preference for cuisine, but "boring American white food" is low on the priority list. Unless it's beyond awesome. Any suggestions guys? Anywhere in or around Downtown. Thanks! |
Serious Pie by Tom Douglas! http://slice.seriouseats.com/archive...t-on-menu.html http://slice.seriouseats.com/images/...sage-whole.jpg I love their porcini, arugal & soft egg one |
I've always liked the food at Malaysian Satay Hut. Haven't been to their Seattle location, just the one in Bellevue. http://www.menuism.com/restaurants/m...seattle-199279 I've heard Paseo is really good. I think they were posted in one of the old threads to. I'm gonna go try it the next time I'm down there. TLC just had a show on for best sandwhich in the US and they came in at #2 on the list. http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/1/3111/r...remont-Seattle |
Ivar's Salmon House. |
Darn, I just came back from Seattle, and mostly ate at chain restaurants (i.e. Cheesecake Factory)... :( |
http://www.salumicuredmeats.com/ Owned by Mario Batali's parents. Huge lineup for lunch, get there early. |
Thanks for the suggestions guys, I ended up at Serious Pie for dinner. We had the Sweet Fennel & Wild Boar pizzas. I really liked the first one but the 2nd one was just meh. Overall was not bad but not sure if it was worth the $20 each plus the 1 hour line-up! |
tamarind hill!!!! try their beef 7 course |
Crab pot is something fun to do in Seattle. Fun for everyone and who doesn't like smashing stuff. http://www.thecrabpotseattle.com/ |
I can tell you where NOT to try...BOKA Kitchen & Bar. Ended up eating there because it was just downstairs in the hotel I was staying at. Ordered 2 appetizers, and 2 mains...all cold and salty as fuck. definitely overrated and shitty. Ambiance was okay though. |
