Which pc3200 ddr400 setup would perform better? option 1: two 2x512mb 2-2-2-5-1T rams or option 2: one 2x1gb 3-3-3-8-1T ram ?? because option 1 has two dual channel rams, it would be at 2T while option 2 would be at 1T... which setup would you prefer for the 939 socket?? yea.. I know those parts belong in the stone age.. |
I'd take the 2nd one.. but wtf people still use DDR? :haha: |

3 years ago, I had the choice of a new desktop or a laptop. I chose the laptop so I could go on RS while I'm in a lecture. LOL now my desktop is old and I need to upgrade it so that I can play Starcraft 2 |
btw, it's OCZ Performance OCZ4002048PFDC-K versus 2 OCZ EL Platinum Revision 2 OCZ4001024ELDCPER2-K |
6.5? Might as well get a new one LOL. Fuck, that shit is dinosaur times man |

I thought about getting a new desktop, but it would not be a wise investment at a time like this in my life. I never use my desktop. I'm always on my laptop doing some stupid assignment. I don't think it would be worth paying $1000+ on a new computer which depreciates like crazy so that I can play starcraft 2. I think spending $50 on another gig of ram is the smarter choice. When school starts, I won't be playing any games until the break. I don't need a computer to make a living at the moment. I'll probably get a new desktop after I graduate, so I will have to do whatever I can with my current stone age setup. |
win 98 or win xp? onboard video or AGP? I have a setup using 1.5gb DDR400 single channel on P4 (winXp / onboard). It feels much quicker than 2 x 512mb. btw, you can build a super budget dual core E3300 PC that can play SC2 for $250cdn. |
