Traffic Violation Ticket Adjournment Denied

Okay so basically I filled for an adjournment for my Traffic ticket as I was unable to attend and the judge denied it and I've been found guilty. Is there any kind of appeal process or is that it I have to pay the ticket and accept the fine?

You can appeal but that'll go up the chain. Should you choose to appeal, you better have your lawyer ready because that is going to go to the court up above.

Most people in this situation would just pay. Going through an appeal for a traffic violation (unless it is an extreme case) is simply not worth it.

Crown and disputant get one adjournment each, with a valid reason. I guess the court didn't think your reason was "reasonable?" Normally an adjournment is granted to a disputant unless you asked at the last minute or have had a previous adjournment already. I never objected to a request but always had the JP/Judge make it "preemptory on the disputant"...that means it MUST go ahead on the rescheduled date.
