there are settings you can adjust to make it sharper ~ i took the dive buying one.. the image quality is the best u can get for a digital camera.. and i can't complain about the size..

Sharpness will depend on the lens and your hand holding ability.

...and no, the NEX does not have the best image quality of any digital camera. Where did you get that idea?

the detail smearing is pretty prominent... i'm not sure if you even have to pixel peep to see it. they should just leave the noise in and let us process it later. at least have a mode to turn this suppression off.

and the ui isn't very intuitive... but maybe it's b/c i was trying to dig thru a mainlander's unit in chinese. i imagine it's the same layout in english tho

well the firmware update made the menu system better

i think it's best to wait for the next gen. most companies never get it right on the first go

and hopefully better lenses at reasonable prices. the 16mm is so dissapointing

Just bought a Nex 5 for my take anywhere camera. I'm really liking what I see so far. Time to upgrade firmware to version 3.

Anyone know any viewfinder much like the Z-finder that will fit on the NEX-5?. Would be great!

ddr 10-28-2010 08:59 PM

LA-EA1 adapter flaw.

Interesting find on the A mount to E Mount adapter.

No worries, I guess I'll just wait for the other "Higher end" lens' to come out!
