HP Mini Ram

I have my gf laptop and she always complains its slow, so I grabbed my old 2gig ddr2 ram, I put it in and it works just fine. And it is faster, will anything happen because I did this? Hp website said max 1gb ram

If it works now, it should continue to work. The laptop won't get turned on one day and go "hey now, when did this extra RAM bullshit get here? fuck you, I quit" and blow up in your girlfriends face.

i didnt know the extra gig of ram would make a diff. maybe i should do the same to my mini, it's been fairly slow.

I should add that HP won't have SWAT come bust in your door (disrespecting your entire family in the process) and haul you off to jail for putting in more than that listed max amount of RAM.

Being serious though, how much RAM was in there before, and how much is listed now in the system properties?

1gb was in before, now its 2 and it says 1.99gb in system porperties, I was just worried it might be over working the comp

I think what you read off the HP site then it the max amount that your model of computer could come with out of the box.
