996's are dropping value like mad.. same goes for 997... oh well, 991 is coming very very soon. and as a tribute to the 993TT.. : holy balls its fast. |
Well the reason the DBS was even considered was the fact that MSRP is approx $300,000-$330,000 and the one that is at Westport seems like a real good buy. |
^mine telling us what you do? |
Go get yourself a 997 GT3 RS, one of the exotic car that I think wont depreciate as bad as the orders. |
Don't forget you'll also have to pay tax on the car. So even if you sold it for the same price you bought it for, you're still out ~26K. |
I think DBS is a great car and I'm considering getting a DB9 from the states after my current lease expires. But as for investment, I don't think it's a great idea because exotic cars like DBS will only maintain their value (depreciate at a much slower rate) once their production stops. With more and more DBS and its variations coming out of factory, unless you get a killer deal (say 150K), I will suggest to stay away from it. |
