UPDATE: Just talked to Insurance ppl and they told me i can infact put it in my name and then we can put it in your name if you wanna take on the inspection.

What are the details of the inspection and what would prevent it from passing?

Well as you know most shops are pretty vauge when they answer but i called a few and pieced it together. I will state i am not interested in hiding anything or ripping anyone off as I had it happened to me today...soooo this is what I know.

Its a pretty detailed inspection C.tire charges 130 bucks i think. the guy there told me that they check a lot of stuff. break system, wiring, mechanical etc etc. He mentioned something about after market parts making it fail IE exhaust. BUT im not 100% sure. One could also assume there is a shady shop in town who would pass it, i am looking for one my self.

for the record this is a car if i could get insured i would keep.

Maybe I should've been more specific. On the inspection notice, does it specifically say what needs to be looked at or is it just a general notice?

Is there anything wrong with the car that would make you think it would fail?

Lights, tires, brakes, loose steering, cracked windshield, tint, leaking exhaust, etc.?

If you don't mind my asking, who was the previous owner? The rotary community can be pretty closely knit sometimes, so I'm wondering if it's someone I know.

Ray was the last owner. im not gonna give last names on here just for his own security.

I asked both the RCMP and ICBC/Department of transportation what the spacific thing was and they both told me that the officer who started this whole thing didnt have to specify what it was and didnt. But I did do some detective work and it seems the cops pulled him over for bald tires which have been fixed with 4 brand new ones. There is no exhaust leaks to my knowledge. I havnt checked but he told me its new breaks all the way around..rotors as well. feel free to check if you want to be sure. steering feels fine. One head light is dim. From what i know the sun roof doesnt even leak. starts great. only been started by me 3 times and driven once. so i dont know much. I mean i have only owned it for 20 hours or so.

hey, when you come look at it just remember it is after all a 1987, its not brand new. its in good shape but it has its flaws, we are talking 1000 bucks. Just letting you know. but hey still for sale! motivated.. open to trades for other cars !!

i noticed when starting it a few times today every once in a while it wont start the 1st time almost like a loose connection in starter, but doesnt happen often.
