he's saying it's NOT a problem for the glass to shatter because it's the separate sensors, projectors, and cameras that would be expensive to replace. this was in response to a comment that it would be an expensive windshield to replace.

That would only work before the 2000 model year. Nice try though. The car would just ding at you, and as soon as you start moving the DRLs would come on anyway.
