Pioneer Avhp3100 dvd

Does anybody know how to do the parking brake bypass on the Pioneer dvd for the car. on what things i need to buy and what i have to do thanks.

Yes. You'll need a toggle switch from the light green wire to ground.

But why do you need a switch when you are making the dvd player think that the e brake is up. why can't you just do one wire.

It is one wire - the green one just as Installerz pointed out. That green wire needs to see ground as a 'pulse' off then on for the video to work. As an alternative you can use a programmable switching device like a PAC TR-7 if you don't wish to use a toggle switch.

My friend just told me why can't you just not put the switch in and just run a straight line. but i told him that you have to have a switch for the green wire to go to and ground off the switch

Well, you can try and run that green wire straight to ground if you want to. Maybe ask your 'friend' if he has installed hundreds of Pioneer screens over the past 7-8 years or so. If he has then I guess he's right. Ground the green and see what happens!
;)

Man first 10 results on google will explain why your friend is wrong. Newer gen DVD units require the parking brake not ony to be engaged, but also to give off several signals of you pulling it, or pulse like orgasm donor said. Just use the switch man.
