Miami City’s plan to shut down weekend 2 of Ultra Music Festival – Mar 22-24, 2013 Due to community intermediate disorders, the City of Miami has come to an arrangement to prevent the hosting of weekend two at Ultra Music Festival. The business community, along with enraged residents, claimed that presenting the festival at Bayfront Park would lead to effects of disturbances influencing community structure and ecosystem functioning, such as noise and traffic. If passed by the City Council, Ultra will be once again be limited to just one weekend for 2013. However, nothing has been guaranteed or confirmed yet, and the issue is still to be investigated. Furthermore, sponsor of the resolution,Vice Chairman Marc Sarnoff, is not available to be reached for further comments at press time. |
