any day any time. don't know where u got this comparison to peanuts from. All of hardwell's stuff sound the same. Dash is pretty good tho, not in the same league as Ferry Corsten and Markus Schulz tho.

NWP is a powerhouse team.

Spoiler!

when i say peanuts... im referring to how filled up the show's gonna be.

who's gonna attract more attendees... NWP or hardwell?

yah in your eyes old school > new school, but in the perspective of the event organizer, wouldn't you want to hire hardwell more so than NWP?

nabs 07-29-2013 06:10 PM

Not really. NWP is a collaborative and rare occasion where you get two giants under one roof. It will attract oldschool and new school ravers/party goers.

Ferry Corsten actually came out of semi-retirement for this so I would say people who understand the electronic music scene and respect the originators will definitely come out to see this. People will come out of raver retirement to see this show happen. At least to sit at the sidelines and hear them together. I don't think they will be performing together for a long time either since they are both in what I would think their last golden age of their careers. Newer crowds will also go to see them because it's the "IN" thing right now as the announcement was made over ASOT 600.

Hardwell only appeals to newer crowds, but just personally I don't like his style of djing or track selection. I am not saying that Hardwell will sell out over NWP or vice versa, because there is a much larger younger "raver" generation than when I was young, and everyone knows the name Hardwell.

I just feel the NWP performance will be magical and if both were playing on separate stages at the same event at the same time, I would easily choose NWP > Hardwell.

Spoiler!

PLUR

exactly...

therefore....BRING OUT DOOMS 2013 : TIESTO, HARDWELL, DASH BERLIN, HEADHUNTERZ, NOISECONTROLLERS

make the SEATTLE KIDS come to VANCOUVER for halloween

nabs 07-29-2013 06:19 PM

edited my post above with more of my opinion if you care. lol. will have fun regardless.

I was never really a fan of Dooms, always found it overpriced and under talented for the amount you pay.

Drow 07-29-2013 06:30 PM

i don't have those feels because i wasn't very into the trance scene when it happened; names like ferry corsten and markus schulz would prob be in my top fav's if i was participating as much in the edm scene now than compared to 5-7 years ago

i personally have never been to dooms, very much due to the fact the dj's that were featured never really appealed to me either

nabs 07-29-2013 06:39 PM

Markus Schulz is such as boss. That guy truly loves what he does. (...12 hour set at Tomorrowland...) Not saying that Hardwell or any other DJ do not enjoy what they do, but Markus just knows how to have fun.

Was never a really big fan of Hardwell but I'll admit that his music has grown on me a lot over the last several months. Really do enjoy some of his music but some of it does sound the same.

Extremely excited to be seeing NWP and Dash at Freaknight. I'll choose NWP over Hardwell or W&W...err...probably not Dash though.

if i were to guess they probably won't be overlapping. if i was usc i'd put them on the mainstage for sure

My guess would be Phase 1 would all be headlining the nights, The trance guys headlining the Mainstage, the DnB/Dubstep guys headlining the second room.

Vansterdam 07-30-2013 03:41 AM

More like dubstep and dnb will be on the 3rd stage lol

Freak night venue is huge. One room alone is like size of pne events here.

And if I remember right there's at least 2-3 very big stages/rooms

Never bought hardcopies off CL or FB. How trustworthy are hardcopies or do most people claim them as stolen?

Vansterdam 07-30-2013 04:18 PM

^ I usually buy tickets off CL but I wouldn't risk it since this is an event thats not local and you won't know if you got scammed or not until your at the venue.

I would only buy from friends or someone you know.

I think it should be fine. As long as its hardcopy and not the printed ones.

Oh this isn't for freaknight. Got those tix asap :P This is for Life in Colour. Turns out they weren't sold out yet, but people are selling for cheaper online than the ones from ticketmaster.
