While I was up in Kelowna with my girlfriend last year, it just so happened to be the same weekend of COG. So we found some tickets on CL.
It was a good time. A little different because they had a lot of things going on. The line up this year is better, more edm artists.
I would probably go again. The crowd was pretty young and most of them were wasted lol. Typical Kelowna crowd = lots of white boys and girls, and a lot of little teens running around. Not many asians.
I could tell many of them weren't into EDM yet. Still pretty new to the scene, most didn't know who Chris Lake or Hard Rock Sofa was, but they literally went NUTS when they started spinning. After the show, everyone was buzzing about how awesome the show was and how awesome the music was.
It was nice to go to an event that didn't have that typical "Vancouver feel" to it if anyone knows what I mean.
The after party venue is pretty decent as well, "The House" is what they called it. Paid a couple white guys $10 to let us jump in line with them, saved us about an hour wait.
I would get a couple friends together to check it out. Kelowna is wicked and a nice get away from Vancouver.
I don't think it's blueprint that set the set times for this event. In events such as these Armin himself (or his musical directors) would have set it like this on purpose to highlight the musical experience to the climax set which is Armin.
