America has gone down the craphole since Obama took over. The racist that use to hide in the shadows of the GOP are coming out in full force masked behind the tea party movement. First it was the birthers, the heated immigration debate and crazy talk about how they wanted to change the constitution so they could remove anchor babies and now the heated debate over the mosque in NYC. Mix that in with the Glenn Beck's of the world and you have a recipe for something bad to happen.

I hate to say it but even though Bush was the worst President ever, he did hold the country together when it came to race relations better than Obama has. It's not even Obama's fault, it's because there's parts of America that will never accept a black President.

I don't beleive those actions to be dumb, I see them as very successful oportunits. but to play devil's advocate:

- german minds, plucked up at the end of WW2, put man on the moon.

- as a leading economy:
1. they aquired land and resources through genocide of the native peoples.
2. kept overhead costs low on the backs of slaves
3. its main economic competition after WW2, Germany and Japan, were decimated by war.

for the haves, this was a great way to get to the top. for the have-nots, not so much. and if you want an example of what an economic and military juggernault gets you, look at how they handled Katrina.
