Anybody interested?

If their karts are back to normal I might be interested. Went 2 days ago and everytime I braked hard the rear tires would lose traction and I'd end up sideways going in the corner - not exactly fun if your goal is to get good lap times.

Jgresch 08-28-2010 03:14 PM

^you're doin it wrong lol

d1 08-28-2010 03:20 PM

considering that other people in the race had the same problems.. and that I'm not exactly a noob at tbc, definitely not me.

Jgresch 08-28-2010 03:22 PM

Hmm weird. I went 6 days ago and it was the same as it was a month ago :s There is only one corner to really brake on anyways.....

d1 08-28-2010 04:31 PM

Yeah I was there a week ago as well and it was fine. Not sure what happened during my most recent visit but I'll just assume it's an off day for the karts.

Jgresch 08-28-2010 04:45 PM

Theres only one way to find out ;)

Raid3n 08-28-2010 11:27 PM

Jgresch 08-28-2010 11:28 PM

I'd go, just need somebody to leave their number or where and what time they're meeting to head over there after the meet.

Sundays are good days to go, its usually $10/race and if you have a student I'd its 2 races for $10

So what's the secret to these 28.xx times? I usually get 30.xx and rarely into the 29's, but 28 and under seems ridiculous.

jpark 09-04-2010 03:16 PM

^those are the secret boosted karts set up at 8psi

Raid3n 09-04-2010 03:17 PM

That is based on your weight and driving line. I have a regular who is about 243lbs that just broke into the 29's

These are rental karts, and you have to remember no two karts are the same. Some might have new tires, or a new engine or steering linkage etc etc.
All you can really do is adjust your skill to the kart

On a side note though, The best way to break your own personal records are to come during the fall & spring. The engines love the cold air and the tires keep their heat

Jgresch 09-05-2010 09:13 PM

I'm having trouble getting in the 29s :( I only it down to a couple 30.4s yesterday
