The only thing I'm interested in is the new ipod touch. Retina display, front and back camera (front for face time, back for hd video), and its suppose to be thinner. However it's for 250$ cad, was originally planning to buy one for my girlfriend but at this point i might as well get something else. I know nit's cheaper then when the ipod touch first came out, but that's a 50$ increase from the current 8gb model. thoughts? If there's already a thread just merge this one into it or close this one didn't find one
Yeah I was strongly considering the new ipod touch but jacking up the price to $250 for 8gb is retarded. I'm just going to get the old gen off someone for cheap.
And Apple TV. Stupidest piece of crap I've ever seen. This thing will be an even bigger failure than the original.
I didn't even bother looking at the nano. 1.7inch touch screen? That's ridiculous, and it'll sell amazingly well. The thing I don't like about apple tv is the fact that you never really purchase movies. Yes it's 4.99(us) to rent a hd movie (most likely 720p) which is cheap but you're not given an option to ever buy a movie.

It isn't even just that either. No 1080p, no storage/external HD support, crap format support, and LESS features than literally every media player that's been out for the past 1-2 years. Unless you're absolutely tied to iTunes, there's no reason at all to buy the Apple TV over the WD TV, Patriot Box, Asus O!Play, Boxee, etc. Especially since the others cost the same as the Apple TV.
The Apple TV has always been the litmus test to find out if someone is an Apple fanboy. No one would ever be retarded enough to buy one.
Anyone know when the touch will be in stores? Recently bought a 32gb at BB. So i should just return it and pick up a new one seeing as it is the same price, $298.99.
I can still return it if it has been opened right? Posted via RS Mobile
pretty cool, but the problem with apple is that they replace their products too fast. i just got the new nano or old one i should say...
They refresh often, but its predictable.
Its always once a year around the same time - Especially since the launch of iPhone4, you must have known a iPod refresh was on the way.

Yes you can still return it as long as it's been less than 14 days.

i dont know why people care about the retina display... you cant notice that resolution on such a small screen (google resolution to screen size/distance physics) is there some sort of advantage?
