anyone tried out the new blackberry pearl 9100?

just wundering if its worth $300.. or spend a bit more and get the 9700

or dont bother with BB and get an andriod device...

Depends. If you do a lot of email/IM I would probably go for blackberry. If you do a lot of browsing on the internet, download and use a lot of applications and want a lot of personal customizable features I would go with an android.

The pearl is pretty much a smaller version of the 9700. If you don't mind the keyboard on the pearl (2 letters per button) and the smaller screen, then you'll probably be better off saving your money by buying a 9700. There is also the torch (Blackberry 9800) coming to canada on September.24
