by that I assume you are referring to the old school "take a picture, it pops out - shake shake shake" cameras right?

If so, ebay would be your best bet. Warning though: the camera may be cheap, but the film is getting really expensive since it has been discontinued

For those of you interested in instant cameras I highly suggest the polaroid pogo. It prints using ZINK technology so theres no ink and it doesn't smudge, the prints are about 30-40c each, but best of all it's a digital camera so you don't have to worry about printing shitty pictures, and you can print duplicates easily. Smaller than your fuji instax or classic polaroid. Sell for around $200USD which is about the same as an instax 55i

Wow that ZINK stuff is pretty neat. That's the first time I've heard of it. You don't really get that polaroid feel to the picture though. But that ZINK stuff is pretty awesome and it's only $200 for the camera w/ the printer :O.

Your alternative is Fujifilm Instax cameras. Film is not cheap, but definitely cheaper than any Polaroid film.

Hmm the printer itself is only $50. Compatible with any pictbridge camera. 2x3 is a little small. Works out to about .35 a picture. Neat idea.

The old school type Polaroid cameras aren't made anymore, but they are readily available used. You can buy the film at Beau Photo, both Fuji & the new Impossible Project films.

Haha I think you can add frames to them maybe do the classic instax white border but yeah 2x3 is pretty small about the same size as the instax mini.

I think tomy makes a camera (the toy company) that uses zink too

if that pogo camera prints anything like its instant printer, i think you should stay away. the colors are way off (not in an artistic way). it looks nothing like a fuji instax or similar instant cameras.

hmm.. So a Fuji instax would be the safest bet, if i want a decent quality in the picture?..

Anyone know where i would be able to purchase one of these? maybe locally or if i had to order it online..? thanks.
