Prove it. Answer these questions. Who was the biggest DJ in town in the early to mid 70's? (hint: CKLG) What record company was A&B Sound's biggest competitor in the early 70's? What was the name of the depaartment store on Hastings Street directly across the street from Woodwards? Name two famous Chinese restaurants that no longer exist in Chinatown. |

[QUOTE=originalhypa;7253582]Name two famous Chinese restaurants that no longer exist in Chinatown. Green door is the only one I can remember. Filthy little joint in the back alley, with some of the finest asian cuisine you've ever had. QUOTE] LOL, surprised someone here actually remembers green door, my parents owned that restaurant. |

Orange door rings a bell too. Then there was Pennie's on E. Hastings, and when we started making a little more money, Pink Pearl. Now it's all about The Pelican. Nothing beats the old days though. Vancouver was sure a different place back then. |
haha, Pennie's..... the Denny's of Chinese Cuisine. There was Diamond something in Chinatown before - was pretty decent. But my favorite growing up was Hong Kong Garden - outside downtown on Main and Terminal - burnt down years ago. |
^ YES PENNIE, i live right beside it and go there at least once a month! lovebird rice or sizzling black pepper steak with onions and green pepper! |

They know good food, I think. :neckbeard: |

Pennies used to be ok before the owner sold the place a long time ago. But even then the food was hit or miss sometimes, but we still would go, haha. |
26, i sometimes kinda wish that the RS members age was beside there join date. Because sometimes theres some heated arguements ect, out there and the reason it started cause of some dumb 14 year old comment to begin with. |
