^ I heard they have parking violation records at icbc now.
A friend's friend of mine had to pay for all the parking violations before he could switch his plate.....

for those who DO pay for parking.
Watch out as you may still got ticketed.
I did not receive a ticket on my window at all, but i did find a nice notice in the mail stating that i owed IMPARK $60 or something due to a ticket that i never received.
I park at school like once a week sometimes, and when i do, i pay.
The apparent violation was from febuary 1st, and i got the notice in the mail last week. Lucky for me, i keep all my old tickets in the ashtay in my car. I was able to find the one from febuary 1st.
Let me just say that if you dont have your ticket, you're screwed. This is the 2nd or 3rd time this has happened when i got a ticket for paying for parking? although this time was weird for actually not having a ticket on my window but receiving a notice later. I got the ticket cancelled, but i had my way with them. I blasted the woman on the phone till she had nothing to respond back.
This is complete BS. So please, BCIT'ers. Save all your parking tickets, and watch out for incidents like this.

i was parked in a disignated actual parking spot with a stall number. The woman i was speaking to at impark was saying that i was parked at another stall and that my ticket wasnt clear.
Like i said, this is my third time getting a ticket even though i paid for a ticket.. I'm good with these things. I mean i had a months worth of parking tickets in my ashtray. I had my ticket displayed on my dash when i got back from lunch and parked in another stall.
Probably the impark lot guy was lazy as fuck to walk in between cars and to check my dash (as my car was parked facing inwards).
I was furious at this situation. Especially since it's happened to me more than once.

thanks | I am volunteering there tomorrow at 11. I was there last year but not as a volunteer. I remembering it being packed in the afternoon, there's going to be a lot of people. If you come early, we can probably provide you with a handbook that shows the different employers that you might be interested in. See you tomorrow!

This Friday, April 1, the BCIT Student Association is hosting a LAN Party for the School of Computing & Academic Studies and anyone else who would like to come out for a night of gaming. The following are some quick details:
Date: Friday, April 1, 2011
Time: 6:00 pm to Midnight
Location: SE06, First Floor, and SE06-233 (Telus Theatre)
Cost: $5, tickets can be purchased from any BCITSA store (The Stands and Geared Up)
Food and Drinks: Pizza and pop, ticket entitles you to 2 slices of pizza and 1 can of pop
Official Games: StarCraft II (PC), League of Legends (PC), Counter-Strike (PC), Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii), Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (Xbox 360)
The event is open to anyone, not just BCIT students, so if you have friends that would like to come, you can purchase a ticket for them. The Stand stores are in SE02, SE12, and NE01, and Geared Up is in SE02. Tickets will also be available at the door the the day of the LAN party.
We will be playing games using the lab machines in four of the labs in SE06, and will be using SE06-233 for playing Smash Bros. Brawl and, later, watching some games. If you would like to play any games outside of the official ones listed earlier, you are free to do so, but if you are not bringing a laptop or a tower, be aware the lab machines may not be able to run them!
Tournament Details
You can only enter one tournament due timing issues – every tournament runs concurrently and you need to be available to play at any time while it is running. Entrance requires that you register between 5:30 pm and 6:00 pm on Friday, April 1, before the LAN party officially begins. This simply requires that you show up at first floor of SE06 and go to where the sign says to register for that game.

da-suu, did you engrave your username into the side of your safety glasses? My eyes were good enough to notice it when I was standing in line at the tool room.
And I parked next to 1990TSI on Monday and Tuesday

Yeah, I was the guy sitting in the stripped chassis where the guys gutting that 300ZX left its seats.

I have checked mybcit but nothing.

sometimes it takes less than a week, and sometimes it take months. depends how together the instructor is.
I've have exams marked within 2 hours of writing them, then also have had to wait 2 months in the summer for my final mark for a course because the prof "couldn't find them".
it varies a lot on the induvidual.
