I know the guy who plays Ash. It was filmed last year in Vancouver. I've seen production stills on his FB page. You can see the Harbour Centre tower behind the Gyrados.

I didn't think it would go anywhere because it's an indie, he was only shooting for a few days so I don't know if it's feature length, might just be a promo to make the real thing.

I defriended him on Facebook since, he's a douchebag and I don't talk to him anymore.

He was a douchebag before and after. I also don't get why they cast him, he's Iranian-American and as someone said before, too old too.

It was just made by some fans of Pokemon. It looks pretty good though I must say, the animations looks kinda cool...though who knows, the quality of that video is brutal.

Synopsis: Celadon City hasn't been the same since the Gyms closed down. Pokémon fighting has gone underground, and the sport has gotten a taste for blood.
