Deals thread

I dont know if this thread has been done before but I'm gonna start one anyways.. lol

ITT post when you see a good deal on food (I'd prefer grocery stores etc and not restaurants).. I'm sure some other ppl are looking for ways to save money on food.

Safeway has Red Snapper on sale right now. Buy one pack get one free. You can only get one pack for free though which sorta sucks. I was close to one Safeway so I grabbed 2 packs from there and then drove past another so I grabbed 2 more from there. Worked out to $30 for just over 2 kg of Snapper.
Gonna freeze most of it.. Should last 2 or 3 weeks.. lol

Edit: Deal ends Friday Sept. 17th.... (if you post a deal and remember when the deal ends please post so we dont go when the deal is done already)

Also if anyone likes quinoa you can get 900 gram packages from Costco for $8.

Save On has the best deal on eggs I've found... $1.99 a dozen for large eggs...
Going through a dozen a day adds up... lol..

saveon had what i thought was a good deal on chicken strips which was buy one get one free (jane's pub style)

sadly they jacked up the price to 15 dollars. >:(

Still not bad for 1.7kg of chicken, but damnit, what shady tactics.

Sometimes they have marinated chicken breast on for $1.99 a piece.. If you look to see how big the pieces are you can sometimes save some cash by buying it that way. Last time I bought like 10 pieces and it worked out to $11 a kg..
