At the orientation for Chop before they opened (same owners) they TOLD you that this was part of the job description/dress code if you worked in the Lounge. They also said that you didn't have to work there if it was uncomfortable.

Pretty sure this bitch was told about the dress code during her interview. How else would she get the job?

Some restaurants hire their servers as "Models". This way, they can base who they hire on the image that they want their "Models" to be. Thus avoiding these lawsuits.

A friend's sister went through a similar situation at a Sammy J's a few years back. She was fine with dressing up in the outfit that they "suggest" you wear. However, one day when she was clearing a table after some customers had left by grabbing stuff at the back of the booth by kneeling on the seat, her manager came up and told her that she had to stand at the front of the table and lean over in order to get it so that her ass was basically hanging out of her miniskirt. She refused and was fired for not "following protocols." IMO, her manager making her do that was too much. I believe she eventually went after the company with a wrongful dismissal suit and won a bunch of money.

Well, that's going overboard though.
