they wiped my fender with a spray bottle at the RS meet, I wonder if they just do that for the entire car

how does this ecowash work? just spray on some orange colour stuff then wipe?
will this scratch the paint/clearcoat?

Seems like wiping it without water is a recipe for disaster.
