Nope. Haha I do have a notification that pops up every 4 or 5 hours though telling me that my Windows 7 "may not be genuine". Fortunately, all I have to do is to close that window and it's all good. Not much of a bother to me anyways as it barely disrupts anything.

I did apply a patch to remedy that, but after a couple of months it returned. Sneaky Microsoft and their sneaky ways xD

Is your Windows 7 genuine btw?

once a week? if that?

it's possible you have an update that is failing to install, so every time windows is running it finds the update, downloads it, says it'll install when you shutdown. It fails the install and the process starts all over.

If yours is not legit, you'll lose the ability to have wallpapers soon.

ya, it updates, but not every night for me. I probably update maybe once a week or so.

and no sense not having a real version of windows. I do have it installed on more than one machine tho... ah well, I guess we're all cheating.

tiger_handheld 09-20-2010 09:35 PM

Did the removeWAT patch already a long time ago. Fixed the wallpaper problem, and was fine a for a couple of months, but the pop up arose as a new issue afterwards. Thanks though!

Since we are on this topic.....

One time I force shut off my computer when it decide to do an update after I shut it down. (fucking microsoft moved the "shut off w/o installing update" from the normal shut off screen to the task managers....didn't know it at that time.)

Ever since then....it has been trying to apply this office update everytime but fails everytime.

Anyone knows how to fix it?

you should start fresh using a integrated enterprise BIE version, they release one almost every month
after install paired with remove WAT, never had a problem on many computers
