Need help locating an arcade machine

Anyone know of any places that have Marvel vs Capcom 2/Marvel Vs Capcom 1 Or super street fighter 2 machine?

I'm not looking to play but to buy, so hopefully there is some pizza shop that someone has seen one or some laundromat that has one kicking around.

I remember somewhere between knight and oak there's an arcade repair/maintenance warehouse just off Marine Drive.. can't remember what it was called, but I know they do all the work for circuit circus (Lester's) on kingsway. Maybe you can start there. Hope it helps.

Oh man, if you do buy one host a RS MvC2 tourney!

the bubble tea place at 41st and fraser across the street from john oliver has a mvc2 machine. you could try asking them if they'd sell it.

might just be better off making a MAME cabinet. will probably be cheaper and easier to build than finding an MvC2 machine in good condition.

There's almost no point to having the original cab unless you are planning on running an arcade, or running a serious level tourney.

You can have the EXACT same experience with a little money poured into arcade sticks (hell, you can even make these with custom buttons and all), so you don't have crappy quality input.

You can't beat a cab no matter how hard you try. It's more than just the controls.

Not quite sure but worth calling them to see:

John Jukes Ltd.
Pacific Vend Distributors Ltd.

They are pretty much the only companies i know locally that deal with arcades.

A buddy of mine has half a dozen original arcade games with the original cabinets, etc. He's also made himself a rom-based, custom cabinet. While that custom one might be newer and plays many more games, there's just something much better playing with the old school, original machines.

It's like the difference between a real AC Cobra and a replica kit car.

maybe if he was clear with intentions instead of being all shady... there is no difference when u build a cab properly... or maybe money is fun to waste?

was an honest suggestion... alot of original cabs weren't even "original" just the mainboard and software...

i respect the retro scene as much as the next person, but thats nonsense shutting down people for suggesting valid points against a really vague request.

wait its rs... nvm

ok, where to start

1) I'm looking for original machines. because I can just buy PCB's and stick them in my new astro city, but it's not what i'm looking for. I'm looking for arcade machines with original control panels, art overlay, marquee etc.

2) There is noticible input lag with mame. Also CPS3 games (other than strike) don't run on mame. And games on naomi boards.

Look at what I linked. It's an original machine that in mint condition.

Also right now I'm restoring my new astro city. getting all the panels repainted, and putting new stickers, CP overlay, stickers, and a control panel.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...#ht_500wt_1154

I just bought that. For that price it's a steal. If it comes in mint condition, this panel is actually work 400-600 dollars.

I have no lag with MAME... using custom fight sticks over USB's BUS? then again, i'm using an OP system to play with it.

That being said, if you had been more verbose about getting all the cp overlays, stickers, and what not, then it would have made more sense.

But yeah, you should really have money to blow if you're thinking all original.

oh god, again you can get a damn taito vewlix for that type of money.

a decent condition original cabinet is not as much as you guys think.

Also it's my money. I already have mame running on one machine, and I can buy PCB's, but I'm actually looking for a CABINET.

There is a huge difference.

By your logic why dont I just hook up my joystick to my comp and play mame there

Did you find any places that have them in stock in Vancouver? I have always wanted the original Daytona USA cab. The force feedback was pretty revolutionary when it first came out.
