Where to buy - Etymotic Research Accessories

***Serious thread, no shitting kthxbaii*** (FYI, thread's in here due to traffic, IEMs are hardly audiophile level material anymore)

Hi All,

I have a pair of ER-6i from Etymotic Research, that have been some of the best daily use IEMs (In-Ear Monitor) I ever had. Unfortunately, I lost one of the ear tips, and am looking for replacements. I tried ones off of my Shure e2c (orange foam ones), the foam ones it came with, and now using the snow 3 flange ones.

The original ones were the best, does anyone know if we have an Etymotic reseller in Van? I just need the ear tips, but they sell for like $24USD shipped for 5 pairs on their website, which IMO is a rip. The reason they're so nice is because they end up molding to your ear canal overtime, and this creates an insanely good seal on these very detailed monitors.

This is the standard grey 3 flange im looking for.

TIA!

I believe they are online only.

I have the same IEMs, and I use the blue tips, personally. My grey ones are unused, and if you want to do a trade, I'll trade you the blues you have for the greys I have.

I've bought various tips off eBay before, so I'd recommend that if you don't wanna buy direct from the company (which is always more expensive).

The single flange type can be had from daiso....

I am now on my 2nd pair of IEMs, so let's hope I can help you out a bit.

For the past few years, I've been using dual driver Westone UM2.
Over the summer, I upgraded to trip driver EarSonic ES3.

If you want cheapy replacements, Ebay/online is your best bet for replacing your tri-flanges.

Since you obviously didn't listen, perhaps you are open to trying new things?

Here, take a look at the 2nd post for some ear-tip review and options.

For my IEMs, I use custom molded silicone tips, the main reason I use them is to get some peace and quiet on my daily commute. Don't hear the annoying people on their cell phones, no babies crying, don't hear the screeching of the skytrain wheels+track.

$90 gets you the custom impression as well as the tips.

Trust me on this, once you go custom, you'll never go back.

I know I could go custom, but it's just cost vs use.

For daily use/gym etc... it's not worth getting customs for more than I paid for the er-6i's way back. I do appreciate your bump for the UM2 and ES3, i was looking into them, but the er-6i's tiny driver, beautiful detail, just seems right for me.

This is probably your best bet if you don't want to get it from the manufacturer. However, since it's Amazon it's US only so it's more of an inconvenience than anything if you don't order stuff from the US very often.

Do the e2c tips fit on the er6i? I got a few of the silicone tips in size small (these) if you want to try it out. They're FAR better in my opinion than the orange foam tips you get with the e2c's. (especially if you're in the group of people that say the e2c's lack any bass at all)

I love my Shure e2c's. They do a great job of blocking noise. They did such a good job yesterday that I didn't even notice my bus had driven past me (I was texting on my phone and listening to music and didn't notice the bus drove right by me)

Thanks for the link, but yeah, I rarely pickup stuff from states, and if I do, it's a fairly large order.

Some of the e2c tips will fit the er-6i, but IMO, not designed for it. Blocking noise is only one part of the reason I want these triple flanged tips. It's very very very nice in terms of molding to your ear canal, over only a week, and thereby makes almost a perfect seal (for non customs)

LOL @ your edit reason.
