Speakers cutting in and out

when i hit bumps in the road from time to time, the left&right side will stop working. then itll come back when i bang on the side of the console it comes back sometimes, and sometimes it goes out completely.

whats odd is that if i leave the car to sit overnight if one side is out, in the morning when i put the faceplate back on it all works again. this only has 50% success rate when i take it off and put it back on right away though.

its an old alpine cda-xxxx wired with an equalizer and 2 amps.

any suggestions? i have no idea how to take out the deck and check the wires on the back - which im thinking it is?

You should bring it into one of the sponsors shops.

Sounds like some loose connections in the back to me. If removing and reinstalling the faceplate seems to help start by cleaning the connections on it thats simple and doesnt require anything special just rubbing alcohol.

Normally, I would agree with you, but he says that he loses one side or the other dictating something else going on. Therefore, shop time is required to remove it from the dash to investigate it further.
