Noob with Xperia x1
 

I have a X1 from rogers .

Windows mobile 6 is so freaking slow, i am fed up with it.

Are there any ROMs for me to change into for faster operation (stable). Do I need to unlock my phone to install the ROM?

Please give me some pointers, I searched on xda-developers.com but there are so many listings on different roms and i dont know which ones to go with and because it will be my first try unrooting for a new rom, i dont want to brick my phone.

1) how to install a new rom, including rooting if necessary.
2) which rom is the best / stable for X1
3) whats the worst it can happen to my phone --> brick?,
4) can i return to original software when i screw it up/.
