Apple TV

Well I am wondering if I should buy an Apple TV. What I don't understand about it is that it can stream Netflix. Netflix was just released in Canada and it only costs $8/month. You can watch movies and television shows unlimited in 720p HD. Apple TV offers HD movies for $4.99 and one HD tv show episode for $1. Why would anyone stream movies/tv from apple tv when you can stream movies/tv from netflix? It is so much cheaper to just use netflix. Is it because there are a lot more selection on apple tv than netflix?

I have a ps3 and it is compatible with netflix. What I am trying to ask is, are there any good reasons to buy an apple tv when I already have a ps3?

For people who don't have a ps3 it might be a good idea.

Since you do. Don't bother

The only reason to buy an Apple TV is if you're an idiot.

just checked out some of the movie selection on netflix. Not many new releases. The newest release is probably 500 days of summer. That kind of sucks.

take an old PC, install Windows Media Center, install codecs and you'll have something way better than AppleTV. It's also got PVR functions if you install a TV tuner card.
