Ideas for company xmas party??

Hey all, need your creative ideas for a company xmas party :)

I need ideas for a 15-20 people party, activity + dinner type of ideas would be great.

What we have done before.... whale watching, dinner @ revolving restaurant, dinner @ the observatory restaurant on grouse and dinner @ opus hotel.

Average age: 35-40+

I suggested Tojo but that was rejected :)

-Bridges @ Granville Island
-Seasons @ The Park (QE Park)
-the restaurant that's inside Stanley Park (I forgot the name)
-Aqua Riva?

For larger groups (corporations), I've had very positive experiences dealing with:
-Pan Pacific
-Hotel Vancouver

However, you would need to book pretty much 11months in advance for a Christmas function if you want a good date that's around the 2nd-3rd week of December.

I went to a boat cruise + dinner last Xmas. All older peeps, they seemed to enjoy it.

But I guess that falls in line with whale watching.

^I did something similar back in 2003, and the food they served on the boats were terrible! The roast beef tasted like underseasoned beef jerkey.. oh and they gave us really cheap champagne.. LOL

Yeah, it's fairly similar and I doubt the meal will be decent but thanks for the suggestion

we rented a place eg// keg upstairs and then hired poker dealers and had a great night.

to control budget, we handed out drink tickets and free taxi rides and also free appetizers.

House party with wine and cocktails. add some mini hand-food for the bunch. talk shit about young teenagers and work issues with your boss and with problems with him.

Strippers.

I mean really, offices need to loosen up a little

Szeto 10-26-2010 07:54 AM

LOL.......... strippers...

hm.... yeah I can't think of any good ideas but I did throw the idea of renting a yacht that's good for 20-30 people out there ;) the rent alone will cost more than any of the party we have had before though.

6793026 10-29-2010 04:32 PM

it's about 4000 dollars and esp for 20-30 people on Xmas it's pretty cold.

you can go on a company boat cruise and it was always fun.

suzuka84 11-06-2010 03:36 PM

if you haven't booked it already, you're out of luck. Most of the popular places are reserved a year in advance for christmas parties.

go clubbing :)
