I think the problem with that is the fact that the product (ipads etc.) are located mostly in the backroom whereas jewerly are often out in display cases. It is easier for individuals to do a quick smash and grab.

I was there ytd afternoon to get my iphone warrantied, the guard was a short chubby filipino? (dark complexion) lady who was playing with her iphone when I walked by. Why bother... :/

The ipads you CAN easily steal are probably the ones that are beat up demos that all say they are not for sale on the back. The ones people actually want are gonna be a lot harder to steal. Good luck selling ipads in beat up condition with no box for market value

also the volume in the apple store is always very high, so if people get hurt... they'll be in 1000x more shit
