Hit and run in 7-eleven parking lot

My buddies car last night received a hit and run in the 7-eleven parking lot @ 22nd and Rupert.

First of all, I would like to thank the good Samaritan that witnessed this for coming into E-tea to give his info and the details to the incident.

Just a warning for some to watch our for a Silver Honda CRV. License plate# 188 NGJ. The culprit hit and ran @ 11:45pm on October 1, 2010.

Claim has been filed with ICBC. If there are any other witnesses please give me a shout.

Thanks,

Shin

how severe was the hit?

Dangerphoto 10-02-2010 12:16 AM

Driver side front bumper was dinged up pretty good + scratches...looked like the culprit backed up thinking there was no car.

BlacknJean 10-02-2010 12:42 AM

e-tea is garbage, your buddy deserved to get hit for eating there

sil3nt 10-02-2010 12:49 AM

^ too bad it wasn't your car that got dinged up with scratches

Last year, I was just leaving e-tea when these 3 guys walked into the 7-11 looking all gangster and stuff.

It looked kinda sketch.

Next day, we heard on the news, the 7-11 got robbed.
That 7-11 must be a crime magnet or something.

And yes, I still go to E-Tea

I've had an incident there too before. There was no parking in the parking lot so i parked basically across the street. After I had my meal i came back out and my car's doors were unlocked and my seat was reclined with a shit load of fuses on the ground. Looked like someone tried to short something to get my car started.

Never going there again

i just witnessed a parallel-parking hit and run...being a victim before i took down the plate # & make/model of the fleeing party. left a note on the victim's windshield wipers.

i hate people that don't drive responsibly.

did you call it in to icbc to report it too?
that's what i do in case something happens to the note

Not really racist! 10-02-2010 05:53 PM

calling it in to icbc should be routine even if you think the person saw the note.

How the heck does someone hit and run while parallel parking? Bet it was a woman in a van.

what happens to the person that gets caught for hit and run?

too_slow 10-04-2010 10:21 AM

1. offender gets a ticket for 'failing to stop at the scene of an accident'
2. the parties can press charges on the offender

No shit, really? I was marveling at how dumb someone can be to cause damage when parallel parking. One thing is a bumper touch, the other thing is to cause actual damage.

But thanks for pointing out the obvious.

twitchyzero 10-04-2010 10:49 AM

the person was clearly inexperienced, the parking space was not long enough and yet he budged and was parking pretty fast.

anyways the parked car's owner never called back so i just filed a witness report with icbc.

Meowjin 10-04-2010 11:20 AM

my bumper has damage from either someone parrallel parking or a downtown hobo ramming his shopping cart into it.
