Locations that capture "Vancouver" My parents have asked me to take some "Vancouverish" photos and get them printed so they can take some and hang them in their condo in the Philippines. I'm looking for locations that somewhat define Vancouver scenery which, I imagine would capture the city, water, and mountains and am just wondering if anyone has any places in mind in where I could go to get these types of shots. Any opinions or samples of what you've shot would be highly appreciated. Thanks. |
So many to mention, but here are a few from the top of my head: - Vancouver skyline from Stanley Park, Science World, False Creek area. - Vancouver from Cypress or Grouse Mountains. - Try to catch the rare days when the Olympic torch is lit. |
I like the Burrard St Bridge from Granville Island. You get False Creek, and the surrounding buildings, and the mountains in the distance. |
I guess we should ask what "Vancouver" means to your parents, then go from there. |
Maple leafs turning colours/falling in a neighbourhood street, Head up to Cypress or any of the mountains and capture the Cityscape. Head to Granville island on a rainy/sunny day and capture the people/boats and the market. There's endless opportunities. |
The totem poles in Stanley Park, Science World, Gastown along Water Street, Capilano Suspension Bridge, False Creek, Lions Gate Bridge from the Sea Wall in Stanley Park, Granville Island, shot of Vancouver from Kits Beach... |
