Help, Apple sucks

here is my situation.

Itunes synced 1000s of photos from my friends computer (in asia) without me knowing.

Now i am in canada, i am trying to delete all of the pictures from my itouch on my own itunes, but i never can get it to delete. I even uncheck sync pictures/photo from Itunes, and then apply.

Do i have to do a full restore , and lose all my setting and appointment, notes, calender booking.

Is there another option?,, i looked on internet and youtube, and none of the solutions worked. It doesnt work since its a different computer and those 1000s of photo files arent found on my computer..

What to do?

Jailbreak and install Openssh. This will allow you to sFTP into the iPod and manually delete all the pictures.

lol apple, does suck.

i bought this new thing called the apple ipod nano, which looks great and is awesome. hell it's better than the technology they have in star trek the next generation!

but then I had to use this thing called itunes, and boy did that suck.

sorry for not helping, sorta, i helped the apple sucks part.

u don't have to use itunes to manage ur music on ur ipods

having said that, i don't let itunes manage my music library, and also select 'manually manage music/videos' when syncing the ipod. it's pretty problem free from there on

underscore 10-08-2010 07:20 PM

try MediaMonkey? I haven't used it for pics but I know it'll let you at least back up and then return all your music.

ddr 10-08-2010 08:15 PM

Here's a side question

another reason y i don't like itunes managing my music is because I have just over 250gbs of music (192k mp3's. not flac or lossless). it really chokes on a library this size.

anyone try any alternative programs with a similar or larger library size?

woob 10-08-2010 08:57 PM

large library? use foobar2k.

I don't know if I should thank you for the laugh, or fail you for your sheepleness.

How come your friend's photos synched in? Isn't itunes account based?

asian_XL 10-09-2010 08:40 AM

itune synced all my mega porn bookmark collection to my iphone4, yes I know there's an option to unclick this shit, I was new to it!!!...anyway, phone was passed around in a meeting and now everyone in my department doesn't talk to me anymore.

StylinRed 10-09-2010 08:48 AM

that's not why they don't talk to you anymore

Euro7r 10-09-2010 09:22 AM

ITUNES is a POS, that is why I would never buy any Apple products.

Hah thanks, sync my photos on it and unchecked sync photo . Itune automaticAlly wiped all photos on my iPod . Can't they make this more intuitive. I can see this has huge potential of wiping someones contact, email out

^that's how they tend to do things on apple, I have lots of experience with iphones :P
And yes... contacts have been wiped out before, luckily they were backed up either using contacts on my mac or gmail.

I kind of like iTunes because I only use my macbook now for my iphone, and I don't ever have the need to get other people's files, it keeps everything organized for me so I don't complain. It's nice when the alerts I make on the calendar on my phone also appear on my laptop. Mind you blackberry desktop manager achieved the same thing

this is exactly how my contacts got wiped. plugged it into a new laptop and instead of copying the phone contacts to the laptop, it wiped it. Fuking itunes.

Razor Ramon HG 10-09-2010 08:30 PM

Just use Google Sync to store your contacts.

I used that to backup my BB9700 contacts to my iP4.

You can also choose to create and store new contacts on your phone or the Google servers.
