and remember injuries can develop slowly overtime, visit your doctor every couple of weeks, and get him to prescribe physio (ICBC covers 12, you can get more than that if your still in pain), also do not accept the first offer ICBC throws at you, even though it may be tempting, remember they are not on your side, they want to pay out as little money as possible....also take into consideration if you get a lawyer your settlement may be higher, but the time it takes to settle will probably be at least 2 years...

Good Luck...and if its totaled(looks like it) try getting parts off it like the navigation etc..

yep i got that all covered and know what to do. thank you buddy.
and i will be taking some parts out and replace to the originals parts.

sorry to hear you lost such a nice car...speedy recovery.
good thing you were were smart enough to be driving near/at speed limit as outlined in your initial post or this could've been a lot worse.

thats why i told my friend to get out of the car so it doesnt hurt us.
i was not concerned about the car than my friends life.

dont think thats what he meant. think he was trying to say was he was telling his friend to get out of the car thinking mb it will explode or something but nothing happened.

TypeRNammer 10-13-2010 08:49 PM

From what I can see, there are plenty of things you can take from the car and put back to stock.

-Work Rims/Tires
-Honda Asimo
-Lug nuts
-Intake
-DVD Deck
-side skirts
-rear lip

spoonek4 10-13-2010 08:50 PM

Chemicals from the airbags arent too good for your health so you were right to tell your friend to jump out.

Shit man ! If your going 60 km/h, that's a big difference in Honda Prelude vs Honda Civic.
I'd the same thing happened to me a year ago and I didn't hit the brakes when I'm truly going 60 on Broadway/Victoria drive at peak hours.

xilley 10-14-2010 12:19 AM

Cars are replaceable, the driver isn't. Glad to know you're okay, speedy recovery my friend.

FI-Z33 10-14-2010 09:02 AM

Jegz 10-14-2010 10:23 AM

Even though you lost your car, at least you didnt you lose your life. Feel sorry though for your loss. Hope you recover

Energy 10-14-2010 11:54 AM

Oh no I loved seeing that Civic. Good luck on your recovery and ICBC. What're you getting next?

Nintensity 10-14-2010 12:21 PM

Again, Exhil... i'm glad that you're still here. You can replace a car, but you can't replace a life. I know that after this accident, a bit of fear will be instilled just from being in a car... so just take it easy, rest up, and give it time.

Godspeed to your recovery, dude!

Glad to know you walk away from that accident.
Just remember that is take around 2 years for you to fully know any problems you will have related to the accident. It is a long time but take it easy and slow. If you go back to work it will affect you settlement. Get a lawyer if you have not done so yet, very good lawyers do not need to advertise and their rates are about 30% and the law in BC limits lawyers from charging over 33 1/3%. I am going through the same shit atm. Good luck and keep us informed.

my moms lawyers charging 24% just for comparison sake...bernie simpson charges 25% once again just for comparison
