$19,600 including HST. and this is just for the RECEPTION. It does not include the cost of renting a chapel, renting a priest, renting/buying a wedding dress (perhaps multiple dresses if you plan to change throughout the reception), tuxedo for the groom and groomsmen, dresses for the bridesmaid, limousine rental, cost of a photographer and videographer (this alone can cost up to $10,000), etc etc. So all in all, you're looking at spending at least 30-40k., and that's considered cheap for a wedding compared to our Caucasian counterparts. lol |
my cousin had his held at sun yat sat garden then later went to DT library for dinner & then 2nd night (chinese night) was at kirin COQ, my aunt paid 50k i think (as i recalled) while the in-laws paid a little less then that & the 3rd wedding in HK later was almost ruffly the same expect my dad helped out by providing with the wine & restaurant, so come to think about it i wouldn't mind a wedding at mc dicks since it's not gonna blow a hole in my families pocket & whats worst is my other cousin is getting married next year as well which means the same aunt will have paid 30k-40k again |
Most people I know make money from their weddings from receiving money in the red envelopes. |
