Window 7 Driver Install?

I just installed W7 in a new custom build sys. (AMD 965, MSI mobo, EVGA GTX460)

Do I need to install the driver manually (like in window xp)? or it will automatically download everything by itself during the update?
(drivers such as the motherboard audio, network, chipset, nividia graphic card drivers..etc)

W7 installed a lot of drivers by default so its working on initial boot, well, thats how mine went. the only additional driver install i did was for the video card from the video card's website so that its up to date.

you still probably need to download the drivers specific to your mobo/vid card etc.. they prob use a generic 1-fits-all sort of version that covers all of the same model hardware. i would just download the drivers and update em anyways.

you generally don't want to use the Windows drivers if possible. They are really there to "get it working".
For example, a generic driver is installed for a video card just so you can see what's going on. But you you'll get terrible performance out of it.

windows update usually have the newest drivers. some really new stuff like USB 3.0 controllers, then u'll have to install it manually

Windows 7 surprisingly downloaded the current Nvidia Driver for my GTX460 when I installed the OS. You should double check the drivers to see if they're the most current model, it's not too hard to do!
