Thinking of ditching my DSLR

I was thinking of finding out if it was worthwhile to sell off my DSLR stuff and go with a good point and shoot that does what I need. What do you guys think this stuff is worth? I guess the problem is, mainstream DSLRs have come a long way, with HD video capabilities...

Anyway this is what I have:

Canon 350D
Canon 10-22 EFS
Tamron 28-70
2 Canon batteries

If I could sell all that as a package, and have enough profit to buy a decent camera, I would totally go for it...

You can probably sell that for $300 - $500 if you're lucky.
And for P&S, pick up a Canon S95.

Considering the 10-22 is selling for $500-600 on CL, I doubt I'd be very "lucky" to sell the whole thing for less than that.

So far from what I have seen, the breakdown is

10-22mm - $500-600
28-75 - $300-400
350D - $250 or so

Actually I kind of just answered my own question

If anyone is interested in the whole thing for $1050 flat (incl. shipping) let me know before I put it up for sale

good luck with that, i once tried to sell my package of 450D + 2 bats, grip, 17-85 for 800 and no one asked.

the easiest part to sell is ur 10-22, the hardest is the 350D.

Oh right, I didn't see the lenses there, it really depends on the condition of your equipments though.
Lenses are much easier to sell. I'm not sure about the camera body itself since people these days want something a little bit faster.

I'd say the Panasonic LX5 over the Canon S95. Try them both out though to see which one you prefer.

Everything is in perfect condition, I just want a lighter load with 720p video capability.

I guess I could just sell the two lenses; I know the body is pretty much worthless because of how far consumer DSLRs have come since then

I would definitle go that route if I were you. You could always give the 350D as a gift!
