is that tool you got from sears grip okay?

i need 2 different sizes of those wrenches and that one you link looks adjustable

The "spider" or claw wrench is the most versatile one... quite strong too! My preferred for oil filters because it can move any size housing.

lilaznviper 10-18-2010 09:51 PM

how much do those cost and is sears the only place to get them?

princess auto?

the cap style filter socket is garbage.

a band wrench is much better imo: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA300_.jpg

lilaznviper 10-19-2010 12:52 PM

people recommended me the cap filter because there is not a lot of room where the oil filter is and one of the cars have a plastic housing for the filter cartiage and im afraid i might break it

This is technically the best filter wrench you can get. It's a claw type. After extensively using different types of Filter wrenches, this is by far the only type that can virtually take off any oil filters.

where to get those? plastic or metal

IMASA 10-19-2010 04:58 PM

what car is this for? The claw style wrench that I got from Sears can't do the narrower Honda filters, but works for everything else I use it for. I've never seen them sell them @ local Sears, only down in the states.
