Help : Flat Tires

I was just filling up the gas and noticed I got a flat tire. I tried to inflate the tire but seems like the air was not getting in at all.

I heard a "boom" during the process of inflating.... Werent able to get any reading off my pressure gauge ever since.

I put my ear beside the tire and couldnt hear any air coming out either...

Anyone know what the problem might be ? I'm taking the car to the shop tomorrow

sidewall blew??

Greenstoner 10-19-2010 10:44 PM

what kind of hazard would do that kind of harm ? Nails, potholes ....??

could it also be my valve stem? I cant seem to inflate any air in it either and could hear any air coming out

it could be anything. Maybe you did not realize you lost air and you drove on the flat tire, which caused the tire to come off the rim therefor not allowing air to pump the tire

i had this problem.......couple days ago....i hear ticking everytime i accelerate from a dig....took out the wheel/tires outt...found a nail..pierced through....and was loosing air ! just sharing..! lol

could be anything but im guessing either the tire beads broke or popped outta the wheel like what yamahar said.

If you blew the tire and continued driving on it, you either blew the bead or there's a hole big enough to let the air escape at the same rate as you're inflating it.

Is there even a core in the valve stem? Maybe someone was fucking with you.

What are you driving on right now? Hopefully not that tire.

Remove the wheel and inspect the tire.

My sidewell is blown. Lol, too much camber wear and the inside thread was so low.

What car/tire size?

I guess you weren't planning on driving it this winter.

time to get some new tires

either get camber kits or keep on rotating your tires to minimize camber wear
