I'm trying to drain the coolant on a 02 TLS. Base on the reservoir tank, the coolant is still green color(previous owner). i wonder if it's ok to fill with Honda type 2 in it or i need to completely drain out the old one before i pour the type 2? if so, any idea hwo to drain @ home?

At the very least, you should drain the coolant from the radiator. You will likely need to remove the splash guard (i.e. plastic covering underneath the bumper) to get access to the radiator's drain plug. It should be easy to see once you remove the splash guard (i.e. it will be the only plug on the radiator)

Is Honda Type 2 premixed coolant? Your coolant should actually be a mixture of 50% antifreeze and 50% distilled water. If it's not pre-mixed, you'll need to buy some distilled water and mix it yourself.

Preferably, you should drain the coolant from the engine block as well. I couldn't tell you where that is on a TL, but you should be able to find a copy of your service manual on a TL forum.

i know where the drain from engine block but i'm not sure if that drain will release all coolant from the engine.

the best way to do this at home would be to drain it then fill with water and run it till thermostat opens. drain it again after and most of the old coolant should be out by then.

Drain and fill until its pure water, then fill it up with coolant (then you don't need to premix it cuz you have water in the system already)
