Is Mitsubishi lancer 2010 SE a good car ? Hi there I am driving a Toyota Matrix 2009 AWD Base model right now, I am planning to trade in my Matrix for a Mitsubishi Lancer 2010 SE AWD, do you think Lancer is a better car than my Matrix ? Please kindly advise. |
Lancer SE doesn't come in awd only lancer that's awd is the ralliart and Evo |
keep your current car since its already AWD and like the other guy mentioned, only thing comes in AWD are the turbo version for the lancer its only an 09 ...keep it |
No. |
CVT isn't for everyone and your car is so new, you're gonna be losing so much money on it and there's no base lancer with awd like vexor said. If you're interested take a look at the new RVR saw one at the dealership near the police station on cambie. |
id drive a lancer over a matrix anyday.....matrix is so ugly. |

I wouldn't trade it in if I were you. Like mentioned above, why do you want to trade? |
r u John MacLean? |
also it states here too http://www.loyaukee.com/forum/viewth...008&highlight= |
I'm assuming you're just looking to trade over looks wise.. in that case, whatever floats your boat. But performance and practicality wise, might as well keep your Matrix. |
There's no such thing as a lancer AWD! Get the 2011 WRX or 2010 Ralliart :) |
isnt the SE model a DE (base) model with the GTS body trim, but without the GTS suspension, larger engine, rims and paddle shifters? |
You should probably go test drive a Lancer first. Its chassis is actually not too shabby. But I wouldn't switch to a Lancer; your Matrix is still very new plus it's got AWD for the upcoming winter. Do your wallet a favour and stick with the Matrix. |
Thanks for all your replies and based on my lack of knowledge of car, My matrix actually is not AWD and it is FWD and the Lancer SE I am contemplating to trade is also FWD. I guess it would not make any differences. If I still want to trade in my Matrix, which model & make would you guys recommend ? I need a car with hatch back and as powerful as my Matrix, prefer 4 doors and auto with FWD. Please kindly advise. |
vw golf - 170hp/177lb-ft torque. Looks better than a matrix on the outside and completely destroys it interior wise. |
If you need everything your matrix has then why not keep it? Why would you get rid of a 1yr old car anyways??? Unless your ballin outta control then just keep what you have because you will lose a lot of value when selling your used vehicle. Especially becauase its only 1 year old... If you dont like the Matrix because you didnt do your homework, then I suggest you really do your homework on your next car becuase who know maybe you wont like the lancer in 5 months and then next thing you know your looking at a subaru or maybe even a volvo.. Good luck on your car hunt. |
I suggest that if you're serious and don't mind the losses and you can afford it, go for a 5 speed lancer or impreza. With winter around the corner, having awd on the Subaru will save you from getting stuck! And far as whether the lancer is a good car, it'll get you around and probably won't break down as I haven't heard of many complaints. Even if something does go wrong, you can't beat 10 years of warranty! Power wise you may crave for more, but with the new speeding laws, even 100hp is enough nowadays for street. |

lancer's interior is absolutely brutal. Hard fatal plastic all over, what can i say |

Have you looked at the cube? The styling definitely isn't everyones cup of tea, but at 18k and comes with no charge tech package right now it's a tremendous deal for a load of practicality. Also it's pretty comfortable and really easy to parallel park. |
Why not go for a test drive or two on the Lancer first, and see if it's something that you would like? Some people like Starbucks...some people are fine with McCafe's Coffee....some need Kopi Luwak each morning to survive. There's no one right answer. It all comes down to your own preference. |
