I'm sad, off to uTorrent I guess now.

!LittleDragon 10-27-2010 10:49 PM

just as I thought... I tried it out. Limewire still works, you just can't get the software off their site anymore.

Lol, didn't actually think about trying to use it when I saw the "warning".

jigga250 10-27-2010 11:06 PM

This is very true.

Although I stopped using these programs now, cause I find torrent more efficient. I usually grab an entire album, not so much individual songs anymore.
And if I do need to get individual songs, I just type "(songname) mp3 $$$$$$$$$$(/mediafire,etc)" and I usually will find it available to download quickly.

hotjoint 10-28-2010 06:57 AM

I've never had any issues with limewire

ae101 10-28-2010 07:52 AM

i still have kazaa on my old desktop still works i think, but the best program for me to download music was winmix when it was still free & foxy before there was free internet porn

hotjoint 10-28-2010 09:04 AM

I remember winmx. I loved that program!

It's impossible to "shut down" because there are no centralized servers running as the backbone of the network.

AzNightmare 10-28-2010 10:12 AM

lol

forgot about winmx and kazaa

I remember in the beginning, there was napster.

The last of these programs I use was BearShare.

Psykopathik 10-28-2010 12:56 PM

hated limewire, loved Morpheus back in the day

InvisibleSoul 10-28-2010 01:21 PM

I remember using Direct Connect for awhile... it was actually quite useful for finding some obscure files.

twitchyzero 10-29-2010 12:09 AM

yeah almost forgot about kazza

napster -> morepheus -> kazza -> limewire.

back in the days when you had over 5GB of music i'd be like

saychun 10-29-2010 10:40 AM

too many viruses

jmvdesign 10-29-2010 10:43 AM

Try Grooveshark.com if you don't mind streaming mp3's instantly. You can search almost any song and album listings on there.

unit 10-29-2010 12:40 PM

grooveshark is ok for singles but i hate it for trying to play an album the way it sorts the songs.

NimbeeTT 10-29-2010 01:10 PM

Why aren't people using Vuze?
It's 10x better than limewire

AzNightmare 10-29-2010 01:13 PM

wow, forgot about morpheus.

hotjoint 11-01-2010 11:36 AM

hmmm frostwire isn't working. Anyone been able to use that to download? I downloaded frostwire for my gf since she used limewire but I tried to test it out and nothing worked. It's exactly like limewire except its blue :lol

InvisibleSoul 11-09-2010 01:36 PM
